Moving image brief

For my moving image brief I intend to make a video for The Beatles song "Blackbird".
I am going to make the blackbirds from paper, possibly using origami but I will use real life scenery as the background/setting.I had thought about making the backgrounds and scenery all out of paper as well but I think it will look better using real life scenery.

Originally I was going to do this all in stop motion but I might look into doing film instead. I'm going to try out both and see what works better for the video I have in mind.

I want to make the birds bright and position them in trees, parks and town squares as if they were real birds for my shots

As for toying with the idea of an all paper set if I do decide on doing that, these pictures show pretty much along the lines of what I would do.

For the things like buildings I would look at different ways how lighting could enhance the scene.

Short film Drugs 1

The black and white colouring gives it a gloomy depressing feeling from the start. The opening shot of a close up of a lighter fading into the main characters face gives a lonely view of his life along with the noise of everyday life heard in the background while quiet music plays and he tells his story. as he starts, each shot relating to his story continue this isolated feeling, when he's at home he is the only one in the view of the camera as the noise of the family around him are still heard. Throughout the short film he is the only character focused on enhancing his isolation, the only other character that has a repeat appearance his his drug dealer, and at that he only appears in a few shots. When the main character finds himself dealing with the death of a close friend he starts to consider what he is doing wrong with his life even begins to value it a little, but that soon disappears again and he ends up getting thrown out of the family home and moving in with a friend. In the next shot we see the main character shooting his drug dealer and the erratic movement of the camera shows his panic and confusion, he says "For once in his life someone has taken control now I have life to look forward to" referring to getting arrested and finally having someone tell him what to do.
